Reinventing ourselves

Throughout our lives, we have had to adapt to many changes and with that, we have had to reinvent ourselves over and over again.

Many times we do not see the word reinvent as something good, on the contrary, we feel it as something heavy, we think and make statements like after so many years and I still do not know who I am, after having so many experiences in life and I still feel that I do not know myself at all after To think that I wanted this but in the end what I wanted was something completely different. When we make these statements to ourselves with that negative knowingness, we give rise to a feeling of constant failure because we think we have wasted time and energy, we think we are trying to be something we are not, and we dare to think that we are not being true to ourselves.

It is time to take reinvention as something that belongs to our daily lives, it is time to take it with a positive connotation because changing and reinventing oneself is the way to know oneself and is the best path to growth.

It is spectacular to see the changes and growth that we have had over the years and it becomes even more spectacular when we internalize and know that we are not done yet and that we are going to have to reinvent ourselves a thousand times more, accommodate ourselves and re-accommodate ourselves and re-accommodate ourselves until we find the point of balance that we seek in the different aspects of our lives and after having found that balance, have the ability to recognize when that balance is being unbalanced in order to reinvent ourselves again

It is important that we recognize that we are changing beings, that in fact, we have the need for change, and that this is okay, reinventing ourselves does not mean that we are necessarily lost, or that it is wrong not to know who we are or what we want in life.

Reinventing ourselves is innovating something in our lives to have more balance with what we really want, with what we want to be living, and also be aligned with those who we want to be sharing our time with.

Reinvention happens a lot particularly when we have big changes in our lives, for example, we go from being single people with all the time at our disposal to becoming parents and putting most of our time at the disposal of our children and our family.

When we feel exhausted from working on the same thing and want to do something completely different.

Especially when these changes occur, we must reinvent ourselves and more important than that, be in peace and tranquility understanding that it is okay, that it is normal, and that it is important to reinvent ourselves. Realizing that we are feeling the imbalance in our lives and that this is okay. We must be kind to ourselves and seek that new balance.

There is a very important point in this topic of reinvention, and it is that it not only happens when we go through big changes in our life, or when we are desperate for some urgent improvement, but it can also happen, and we may need it when we are at the best point of our life. For example, we are perfectly well in health, economically, we have relatives who love us, our husband, our children, our family is fine, we are where we wanted to be, we achieved the expected goals, and even so and with all this, we feel an emptiness that does not make any sense and we do not feel happiness, In that case, it is important to see in-depth why we are feeling what we are feeling and what we can do so that our reinvention process includes that personal internal care that we need to be well with ourselves.

Reinvention is wonderful because it allows us to be in touch with ourselves in a deep way, we learn more about what we really want to do in our lives.

If you think about each change you have been through in your life, there has been always a new reinvention and it is absolutely perfect, even during our work as parents every year that our children grow up they change and we are afraid to reinvent ourselves again, which does not mean changing completely, reinventing means starting from where we are and analyze what improvements we want to make, implement these changes, and see how we adapt.

The priorities in our lives are usually family, health, and professional life. This last one is a great challenge for everyone, now in recent times we are validating if what we have been doing for many years was worth it, and of course, it was worth it because we have learned endless things, but if we are feeling that it is time to changing and reinventing ourselves again that is completely perfect.

Now we are prioritizing time with our family, our mental and physical health, and our relationship with ourselves, and we are looking for other things we can do to enjoy our lives more.

Tips to make the most of your reinvention:

1.      Be aware of your feelings, own them, and recognized you are the only one responsible for what you are feeling

2.      Be aware of how you got into the situation you are in now

3.      What changes need to be done to make the changes you need

4.      Analyze how, and when you are making those changes to take place in your life

5.      Let your family members and people who can be affected somehow by your new changes know what is it that you are going to implement from now on

6.      Take action, implement and make the change happen.

Reinvent yourself in order to grow and recognize that this process is fine, it’s the path to enjoy each stage of your life.

Keep reinventing yourself and consider that you always have a mold to create whatever you want to happen in your life
